Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Rice, Cooking Oil, and Beef Prices Drop (Friday, January 26, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (26/1/2024) at 09.36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken meat, garlic cloves, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, shallots, premium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most by Rp1,140 (3.5%) to Rp33,710 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the least by Rp1,480 (3.42%) to Rp41,850 per kg.

6. Shallots: Rp31,980 per kg (down 0.22%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp31,220 per kg (up 1.79%)
8. Milkfish: Rp28,440 per kg (up 1.17%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,020 per kg (down 1.55%)
