Price of Low-Quality Grade I Rice in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of low-quality type I rice in traditional markets in North Sulawesi Province is recorded at Rp13,600. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of low-quality type I rice in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp13,400.

Meanwhile, the daily price of low-quality type I rice in traditional markets in North Sulawesi over the last three months has increased by 0.74% from the previous record of Rp13,500.

The record high for the daily price of low-quality type I rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2023 with an increase of 9.09%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2024 with a decrease of -9.15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sulawesi show six commodities decreased and 21 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province, Super Quality II Rice, Daily Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Low-Quality Type II Rice, Daily Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Local Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the last month in North Sulawesi Province:

4. Low-Quality Type I Rice per Kg: Rp13,600 (up 1.49%)
5. Medium Quality II Rice per Kg: Rp14,150 (up 1.07%)

7. Chicken Meat per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp41,250 (up 12.7%)
