Indonesia's Food Prices Today: What's the Price of Onions?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (30/8/2024) at 11:56 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, farmer-level corn, whole garlic cloves, bulk wheat flour, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged simple cooking oil, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken meat, skipjack tuna, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp80 (1.34%) to Rp6,030 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the largest price decrease, dropping by Rp430 (0.88%) to Rp48,410 per kg.
