Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra, How Much is Red Chili Price?

Prices of several food items in South Sumatra today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (8/22/2025) at 12:37 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include large red chili, packaged cooking oil, garlic bulb, broiler chicken eggs, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red cayenne pepper, shallots, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of large red chili rose the most by Rp659 (1.94%) to Rp34,552 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the deepest by Rp1,387 (3.17%) to Rp42,371 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp27,881 per kg (up 0.09%)
