Today's Food Prices in Bali: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/5/2024) at 15.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, broiler chicken, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp920 (12.23%) to Rp8,440 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp5,740 (20.25%) to Rp22,610 per kg.
