Food Prices in Jakarta, Thursday (31/10): Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta, DKI today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (31/10/2024) at 09.15 WIB, out of 17 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, skipjack tuna, premium rice, and shallots have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp4,620 (13.06%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Chicken meat saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp10,280 (26.85%) to Rp28,000 per kg.

2. Red Chili Peppers: Rp55,000 per kg (up 12.8%)
3. Shallots: Rp40,000 per kg (up 13.06%)
4. Shallot Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.15%)
5. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 0.43%)
6. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 21.09%)
7. Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (down 2.69%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 15.56%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 1.27%)
10. Chicken Meat: Rp28,000 per kg (down 26.85%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 2.37%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple): Rp18,000 per liter (down 1.1%)
