Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (9/12/2024) at 12:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, skipjack tuna, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp240 (4.18%) to Rp5,980 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease, down by Rp170 (0.5%) to Rp33,760 per kg.
