Current Food Prices in East Java: Rice, Beef, and Sugar Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (15/6/2024) at 13:31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, premium rice, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, red onions, milkfish, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,000 (2.14%) to Rp47,710 per kg. Red onions saw the largest price decrease, dropping Rp710 (1.96%) to Rp35,440 per kg.
