Lampung's Food Prices for the Week of August 4th: Sugar, Rice, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Lampung today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (4/8/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, bulk wheat flour, medium-grain rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, fine iodized salt, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chili peppers saw the highest increase, jumping Rp4,680 (11.61%) to Rp45,000 per kg. The price of mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp1,940 (6.07%) to Rp30,000 per kg.

2. Red Chili Peppers (Rawit): Rp65,000 per kg (up 7.42%)
3. Red Chili Peppers (Keriting): Rp45,000 per kg (up 11.61%)
4. Garlic Bulbs: Rp38,000 per kg (up 2.67%)
5. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,000 per kg (up 1.74%)
6. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (up 10.62%)
7. Mackerel: Rp30,000 per kg (down 6.07%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (up 5.08%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (down 2.17%)
10. Shallots: Rp25,000 per kg (up 10.42%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 2.51%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 5.1%)
