Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (29/7/2024) at 09.49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, red chilies, milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, SPHP rice, curly red chilies, garlic cloves, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp3,390 (12.06%) to Rp31,490 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken fell the most by Rp1,160 (3.69%) to Rp30,280 per kg.
