East Java Food Prices on Sunday (22/9): Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (22/9/2024) at 09.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), corn (farmer level), skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, bulk cooking oil, shallots, milkfish, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp910 (9.93%) to Rp10,070 per kg. The Indian mackerel saw the largest price decrease, down Rp1,420 (4.26%) to Rp31,890 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,320 per kg (up 1.13%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,400 per kg (up 0.16%)
9. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp22,910 per kg (up 8.12%)
10. Shallots: Rp21,120 per kg (down 3.47%)
