Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Chicken, Cooking Oil, and Sugar Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (31/12/2024) at 08.04 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, dry soybeans (import), and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,520 (26.69%) to Rp11,960 per kg. Farmer-level corn saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp1,020 (18.15%) to Rp4,600 per kg.
