Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Red Chili, Onion, and Chicken Meat Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 6, 2025) at 08.37 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include pure beef, SPHP rice, curly red chili, consumption sugar, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, premium rice, red cayenne pepper, milkfish, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt experienced the highest increase of Rp1,900 (12.35%) to Rp17,286 per kg. As for large red chili, its price saw the sharpest decrease of Rp42,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
