Granulated Sugar Prices in Traditional Markets for the April 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily granulated sugar price in traditional markets in North Sumatra province has not changed compared to the previous day, just like the price developments in the last week.

Meanwhile, compared to the last month, the daily granulated sugar price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp19,35 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily granulated sugar price in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the last three months has decreased by 2.05%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily granulated sugar price in traditional markets in North Sumatra province is traded at Rp19,55 thousand.

The record increase in daily granulated sugar prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2019 with an increase of 8.44%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2019 with a decrease of -7.42%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in North Sumatra show that three commodities have decreased and 23 others have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat and Chicken Eggs.

8. Red Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp69,85 thousand per kg (up 88.78%)
9. Large Red Chili per Kg Rp93,2 thousand per kg (up 1.8%)
