Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Sugar, Oil, and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (3/9/2024) at 15.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, Indian mackerel, bulk cooking oil, SPHP rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,700 (4.9%) to Rp57,830 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp790 (4.74%) to Rp15,880 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on September 3, 2024, at 15.05 WIB.
