Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion and Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (16/4/2025) at 10:34 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, table salt, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, milkfish, medium rice, red chilies, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Table salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp725 (6.32%) to Rp12,188 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp5,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
