Riau Food Price Update Today: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Friday, December 29, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (29/12/2023) at 09.56 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, shallots, tongkol fish, milkfish, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean seeds (import), and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase of Rp940 (11.96%), reaching Rp8,800 per kg. The price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease of Rp2,340 (4.01%), reaching Rp56,070 per kg.

7. Garlic Bulbs: Rp38,220 per kg (up 1.19%)

9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp31,380 per kg (down 1.29%)
