South Sumatra Food Prices Week of December 8th: Prices of Oil, Sugar, and Onions Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (8/12/2024) at 12:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, garlic bulbs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, curly red chilies, shallots, pure beef, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,090 (3.32%), reaching Rp33,970 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased the most sharply by Rp250 (1.94%), reaching Rp12,630 per kg.
