Today's Food Prices February 20 in Central Java: Cooking Oil, Egg and Red Chili Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 20, 2026) at 3:17 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are shallots, chicken eggs, red cayenne pepper, bulk palm cooking oil, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, only medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Red cayenne pepper had the highest increase of Rp7,110 (9.17%) to Rp84,624 per kg. Meanwhile, medium rice had the sharpest decrease of Rp4 (0.03%) to Rp13,226 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp84,624 per kg (up 9.17%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp41,533 per kg (up 7.35%)
4. Chicken Meat: Rp39,693 per kg (unchanged)
5. Shallots: Rp39,652 per kg (up 1.06%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp38,995 per kg (up 4.61%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,655 per kg (up 0.1%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,929 per kg (up 0.5%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,675 per liter (up 0.16%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,802 per liter (up 0.03%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,912 per kg (up 0.12%)
