Daily Price of Medium-Sized Garlic at Traditional Markets, April 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp58,750. This price is up Rp1,250 compared to the previous day.

Regarding the price over the last month, the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp52,500.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in West Papua over the last three months has increased by 11.9% from the previous price of Rp52,500.

The record high for the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2020 with an increase of 327.27%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2020 with a decrease of -80.85%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Papua show eight commodities decreased and 16 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Super II Quality Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Super I Quality Rice, Large Red Chili, Granulated Sugar, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Papua Province:

6. Super II Quality Rice per Kg Rp17,750 per kg (down 0.28%)
7. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp95,650 per kg (up 11.94%)
8. Rice per Kg Rp17,250 per kg (down 0.29%)
9. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp22,350 per kg (up 1.36%)
10. Inferior II Quality Rice per Kg Rp16,050 per kg (unchanged)
