Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Chili Up, Oil Down (Friday, February 9, 2024)

Food prices in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (9/2/2024) at 08.03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, red chilies, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp14,950 (22.98%) to Rp80,000 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease, falling Rp10,320 (30.07%) to Rp24,000 per kg.

5. Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (down 5.35%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (down 4.63%)
7. Shallots: Rp32,000 per kg (up 11.0%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 7.86%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 0.88%)
10. Milkfish: Rp24,000 per kg (down 30.07%)
