Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Chili and Beef Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (4/1/2025) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, red chilies, SPHP rice, chicken eggs, and dry soybeans (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp6,620 (9.74%) to Rp74,560 per kg. Curly red chilies, on the other hand, experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp1,810 (3.01%) to Rp58,260 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,170 per kg (up 1.46%)
