Today's Food Prices in East Java: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (9/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) prices surged the highest by Rp660 (6.16%) to Rp11,370 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most by Rp2,340 (6.57%) to Rp33,280 per kg.
