Current Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: What is the Price of Chili?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (16/4/2025) at 12:52 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, Minyakita, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, red chilies, broiler chicken, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp173 (2.01%) to Rp8,773 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the steepest price drop, decreasing by Rp1,224 (1.55%) to Rp77,710 per kg.
