West Java Food Prices Wednesday (May 8th): Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (8/5/2024) at 13.30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, pure beef, granulated sugar, tongkol fish, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of kembung fish increased the most, by Rp940 (2.43%) to Rp39,600 per kg. The price of red chilies decreased the least, by Rp1,710 (3.45%) to Rp47,860 per kg.
