Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Beef, Rice, and Cooking Oil Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (30/9/2024) at 15.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots (bulb), simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp240 (1.0%) to Rp24,180 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the most, down by Rp350 (1.6%) to Rp21,570 per kg.
