Beef Prices in Modern Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily beef price in modern markets of North Sumatra province is recorded at Rp169.2 thousand per kg. This price remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Meanwhile, compared to the past month, the daily beef price in modern markets has not changed from the previously recorded Rp169.2 thousand per kg.

Over the past three months, the daily beef price in modern markets of North Sumatra has decreased by 1.74%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily beef price in modern markets of North Sumatra province was traded at Rp172.2 thousand per kg.

The record increase in daily beef prices in modern markets of this province was previously recorded in April 2020 with a 17.65% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2020 with a -34.53% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in North Sumatra show that three commodities have decreased and 23 others have increased. The sembako with falling prices are Fresh Broiler Chicken Eggs, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, and Chicken Eggs.
