Jakarta, DKI Jakarta Food Price Update: Prices of Cooking Oil, Eggs, and Chicken Rise (Monday, January 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 11:38 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, fine iodized salt, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken eggs saw the highest price increase of Rp2,350 (8.55%), reaching Rp29,820 per kg. Fine iodized salt experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp510 (4.62%), reaching Rp10,530 per kg.
