Banten Food Prices on Monday (August 5th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (5/8/2024) at 14:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, shallots, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp5,110 (6.87%) to Rp79,490 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most, by Rp490 (6.29%) to Rp7,300 per kg.
