West Java Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Saturday, December 30, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 09.23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, red chilies, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,710 (4.74%) to Rp37,810 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp1,590 (15.09%) to Rp8,950 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp37,070 per kg (down 1.83%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,150 per kg (down 2.87%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,080 per kg (up 1.26%)
9. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,680 per kg (up 0.38%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp26,650 per kg (down 0.63%)
