East Java Food Prices Saturday (19/10): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (19/10/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, shallots, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, dry soybean (import), premium rice, red chili peppers, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp400 (3.41%) to Rp12,120 per kg. Red chilies experienced the largest price decrease of Rp1,400 (7.36%) to Rp17,610 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp32,930 per kg (up 0.61%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,890 per kg (down 2.3%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,540 per kg (up 0.08%)
9. Shallots: Rp23,890 per kg (up 2.31%)
10. Red Chilies: Rp17,610 per kg (down 7.36%)
