Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Sugar, Cooking Oil, and Chicken Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (14/5/2024) at 17.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean seeds (import), milkfish, chicken eggs, shallots, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,040 (3.83%) to Rp28,190 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices decreased the least by Rp1,230 (2.6%) to Rp46,160 per kg.
