Current Food Prices in Bali: Prices of Chilies, Eggs, and Rice Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (6/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, mackerel, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, curly red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic cloves, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,000 (8.56%) to Rp38,030 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, decreasing Rp3,320 (8.57%) to Rp35,420 per kg.

7. Garlic Cloves: Rp33,910 per kg (down 5.15%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,210 per kg (up 1.87%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,450 per kg (up 4.95%)
10. Shallots: Rp21,350 per kg (down 0.42%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,360 per liter (down 1.98%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,310 per kg (down 0.63%)
