Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onions Up, Chicken Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (28/9/2024) at 13.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, red chilies, shallots, and red onions.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, broiler chicken meat, fine iodized salt, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions saw the highest price increase of Rp360 (1.41%) to Rp25,860 per kg. Broiler chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp180 (0.58%) to Rp31,040 per kg.
