Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 09.16 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, premium rice, curly red chilies, milkfish, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken eggs saw the highest price increase of Rp2,160 (8.18%) to Rp28,560 per kg. Mackerel saw the lowest price decrease of Rp6,920 (18.11%) to Rp31,290 per kg.
