Current Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Salt, Rice, and Sugar Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (February 14, 2025) at 09.09 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, Minyakita cooking oil, iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, and large red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,030 (4.68%) to Rp45,423 per kg. Milkfish had the sharpest price drop of Rp1,105 (3.45%) to Rp30,966 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp30,966 per kg (down 3.45%)
