Latest Food Prices in East Java: Red Chili Up, Beef Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (September 21, 2025) at 09.48 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), Minyakita cooking oil, garlic bulbs, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, broiler chicken, corn at farmer level, consumption sugar, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili recorded the highest increase of Rp3,145 (7.03%) to Rp47,867 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish price saw the sharpest decrease of Rp2,366 (7.17%) to Rp30,615 per kg.
