Food Prices Today, January 30, in West Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (Jan 30, 2026) at 17.12 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include large red chili, bulk palm cooking oil, red bird's eye chili, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp4,033 (7.05%) to Rp61,233 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp500 (1.44%) to Rp34,167 per kg.
