Banten Food Prices Wednesday (24/7): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (24/7/2024) at 10:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, fine iodized salt, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, mackerel fish, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp7,770 (10.98%) to Rp78,530 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most, by Rp1,050 (8.17%) to Rp11,800 per kg.
