Central Java Food Prices Saturday (June 1st): Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (1/6/2024) at 08.36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dried soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, curly red chilies, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp5,930 (51.52%), reaching Rp17,440 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dried soybean (import) saw the lowest decrease of Rp540 (4.88%), reaching Rp10,520 per kg.
