Red Onion Prices in Southeast Sulawesi are the Highest Nationally (Tuesday, October 10, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 44,480 per kg, data as of Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 45,400 per kg.

The daily price of shallots in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 64,950 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of shallots in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 42,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Maluku, shallots were sold at Rp 62,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of shallots in Gorontalo was Rp 60,950 per kg, East Nusa Tenggara Rp 60,900 per kg, and West Nusa Tenggara Rp 55,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 18 provinces with shallot sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest shallot selling prices are Bali, Aceh, and West Sulawesi.
