Current Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (5/8/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, Indian mackerel, granulated sugar, red chili peppers, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic cloves, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp8,410 (10.71%), reaching Rp86,910 per kg. Chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp4,000 (10.21%), reaching Rp35,180 per kg.
