Today's Food Prices in East Java: Salt, Red Chili, and Oil Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) at 10:35 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include red cayenne pepper, dried soybean seeds (imported), garlic cloves, medium rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as mackerel, pure beef, Minyakita cooking oil, curly red chili, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic cloves saw the highest jump of Rp947 (3.16%) to Rp30,938 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp3,537 (7.93%) to Rp41,063 per kg.

4. Milkfish: Rp32,933 per kg (up 0.68%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp32,778 per kg (up 1.61%)
6. Garlic Cloves: Rp30,938 per kg (up 3.16%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,806 per kg (down 2.0%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp30,031 per kg (down 3.89%)
9. Curly Red Chili: Rp28,962 per kg (down 3.46%)
10. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp26,875 per kg (up 2.31%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,861 per kg (down 0.12%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,676 per liter (down 0.35%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,626 per liter (down 1.3%)
