Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Sunday, March 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (3/3/2024) at 11:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 19 commodities increased in price and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, only red chilies experienced a price decrease compared to yesterday.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase, jumping Rp1,260 (3.42%) to Rp38,120 per kg. The price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp230 (0.35%) to Rp64,700 per kg.
