Garlic Prices at Modern Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of garlic in modern markets in East Kalimantan province is recorded at Rp73,200 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of garlic in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp70,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of garlic in modern markets in East Kalimantan over the last three months has increased by 0.14% from the previously recorded price of Rp73,100 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of garlic in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2024 with an increase of 61.24%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2017 with a decrease of -28.78%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in East Kalimantan show five commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Grade 1 Beef, Chicken Eggs, Curly Red Chili, Fresh Chicken Eggs, and Local Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the last month in East Kalimantan province:

2. Medium-sized Garlic per kg: Rp73,200 per kg (up 4.57%)
3. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp23,800 per kg (up 3.93%)

5. Low-Quality Rice I per kg: Rp15,500 per kg (up 0.65%)
6. Red Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp181,900 per kg (up 10.95%)

8. Rice per kg: Rp16,450 per kg (up 0.3%)
9. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp39,200 per kg (down 0.88%)
10. Shallot per kg: Rp69,950 per kg (up 12.46%)

12. Grade 2 Beef per kg: Rp171,650 per kg (up 13.04%)
