Current Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Egg and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (5/12/2024) at 10:48 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, granulated sugar, shallots, red chilies, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp12,370 (37.91%) to Rp45,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the steepest decrease, down by Rp12,680 (33.65%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on December 5, 2024, at 10:48 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Shallots: Rp45,000 per kg (up 6.16%)
3. Red Chilies: Rp45,000 per kg (up 37.91%)
4. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 0.77%)
5. Red Chili Peppers: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.33%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (down 2.18%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 22.52%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 16.48%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 1.75%)
10. Broiler Chicken: Rp25,000 per kg (down 33.65%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (up 8.28%)
