Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Sunday, March 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (24/3/2024) at 11:13 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, chicken eggs, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red onions, tongkol fish, pure beef, iodized fine salt, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp2,440 (3.89%) to Rp65,140 per kg. Tongkol fish experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp3,560 (9.61%) to Rp33,500 per kg.
