Banten Region Food Prices Friday (August 30th): Rice, Oil, and Onion Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (30/8/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, pure beef, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,430 (7.06%) to Rp36,830 per kg. The price of red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp2,090 (5.44%) to Rp36,300 per kg.
