Latest Jambi Region Food Prices: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 17.22 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), shallots, granulated sugar, red onions, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, red chilies, mackerel, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp330 (1.2%) to Rp27,880 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,940 (5.72%) to Rp48,490 per kg.
