Current Food Prices in East Java: Egg Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (24/11/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodity saw the highest increase of Rp520 (5.31%) to Rp10,310 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,440 (7.82%) to Rp16,980 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on November 24, 2024, at 09.12 WIB.

4. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,780 per kg (down 2.09%)
5. Milkfish: Rp32,870 per kg (up 3.79%)
6. Indian Mackerel: Rp30,920 per kg (down 4.71%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,880 per kg (down 0.24%)
8. Red Chili Peppers: Rp26,310 per kg (up 5.24%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,600 per kg (up 1.19%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,010 per liter (down 1.51%)
11. Curly Red Chilies: Rp16,980 per kg (down 7.82%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,900 per kg (up 0.84%)
